Resisting Temptation at the Pool

In the hotel swimming pool, Silvia embraces your naked body, with only her thin swimsuit between you.
There are so many things you want to do. But you can’t.
So you push her away. Silvia glances up with shock. You cough awkwardly. “Sorry, thank you, but I have to go now.”
The beautiful, silver-haired woman looks grim but she nods without complaining. It’s disappointing that she didn’t make you stay longer.
The two of you swim to the deck.
Silvia offers you her towel to dry up, but you’re nervous that even her body scent would tempt you. So you decline politely. She lifts a brow but doesn’t press.
When you’re both out of the hotel swimming pool, you have an uncomfortable moment. But you say, “I need to go back to the buffet and find my partner.”
Silvia gives you a meaningful gaze. “Okay. If you ever want to talk, or have any…questions or concerns about the vacation, don’t hesitate to call or text.” She hands you a business card.
This all feels anticlimactic, but she shyly bids you farewell, and you part ways. You glance behind you briefly, to see Silvia heading to the elevators, probably to return to her suite.
You pause for a moment, staring at the people coming and going through the busy hotel lobby.
But you take a deep breath and march back to the hotel buffet.
To your shock but not surprise, your partner is nowhere to be seen. They have taken their belongings with them too.
You call your partner but it goes straight to voicemail. You text them, and after waiting a long time, it’s still unread.
Apprehensive, you consider calling Sandra. Or maybe Silvia to ask for her help. Or, you can go up to your hotel room to see if your partner is there.
